Meet our 2015 WOs: Lilly and Jeremy!

Lilly and Jeremy are our 2015 Wilderness and Oxley Resident Counselors.  They will both counsel either wilderness or oxley camps every week!

Lily Johnson:

Position: Wilderness/Oxley Resident Counselor

School: Undecided

Major: Art Education/Nonprofit Administration

Hometown: Germantown, TN

Favorite Canteen Combo: Water and Twix Ice Cream

Dream Career: Owning an art center for poverty stricken children in Memphis

Ideal Vacation Spot: A hiking trip or a music festival

Favorite Bible Verse: Ephesians 3:7-8

Lily believes that her spiritual gift is having the ability to recognize the goodness and beauty in others that they sometimes don’t see. She hopes to help campers understand a glimpse of the love and adoration they have in Christ’s eyes. She is excited that this year’s summer staff has an incredible love and passion for the camping ministry. She believes that it’s a powerful tool in making the summer exceed any worldly expectation.


Jeremy McDuffie:

Position: Wilderness/Oxley Resident Counselor

School: University of Tennessee

Major: Microbiology

Hometown: Collierville, TN

Favorite Canteen Combo: Yoo-hoo and Tropical Starbursts

Favorite get to know you question: What’s your favorite kitchen utensil and why? (His is a spork because it is versatile)

Dream Career: Memphis Grizzlies Point Guard

Ideal Vacation Spot: Machu Picchu

Favorite Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 16:13-14

Jeremy believes that his spiritual gift is communication. He hopes to spend his summer engaging in meaningful discussion with his campers so that they can grow together and learn from each other and themselves while focusing on God and enjoying His presence in all things. He is excited to spend his summer working with kids in God’s creation, growing in his faith and is excited to help his campers to do the same!
