Agape 2013: All Things New

Due to my overlook I missed a camp in yesterday’s post. Camp Agape is a new camp that was established for younger campers with physical and mental disabilities. Camp Agape is small but full of energy, love, excitement, and challenges. This year they are being led again by Miranda Goldsby and Hannah Murry. Nita Murry, a former volunteer nurse, is also joining the leadership team this year.

Camp Agape does a ton of exciting things. They swim at the pool, play games, sing lots and lots of songs, and learn about God’s love. Here are some of the things Camp Agape is learning about this week.

All Things New

Look at What God is Doing!

We are God’s Masterpiece

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Ephesians 2:10

 Monday: New Friends

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.”– Proverbs 17:17

“Dear friend, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”- 1 John 4:7-8

Wednesday: New Creations

Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.”- Isaiah 64:8

“He said,’Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?’ declares the LORD. ‘Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, Israel.”-Jeremiah 18:6

Thursday: New Communities

“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”- Philippians 1:3-6

Talking Points

*What is a community?

*We are part of a community-how can we show our appreciation to others?

Friday: New Opportunities

“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”- Philippians 1:3-6

Please be in prayer for all our camps as we grow and learn about God’s grace and love for all of us.
